We are professors at SMU (with a 4 year old and a baby) going on sabbatical July 1-mid Jan and want sublet our furnished house while we are out of town. It's 3 bed 2 bath (we use the 3rd bedroom as a guestroom/den, it has a nice fold out bed) with living room, kitchen, dining room. It's a beautiful, private spot near the Green Spot with easy lake access and trees across the street. Nice patio and backyard. We have a 4 year old, so the slide in his bedroom is optional if you want it! We were hoping someone might be remodeling or just moving into town and need a place on the same schedule. We're zoned at Hexter elementary and our son's room has a slide and ball pit in it and we have a swing in the front yard... so we'd love to have families with young kids (p.s.- we can remove the slide if you don't have kids... but its a great house for kids). 3 bed/3 bath in east Dallas in a great location for all things in the city! This is our family home and is very kid friendly but also great for adults! It’s about a 10 minute walk to White Rock Lake from the house and there are a few other walkable restaurants and grocery stores. And, we are a quick drive away from anywhere else you would want to go in the city- downtown, Greenville, Knox/Henderson, Fair Park, and only about 15 minutes from the Dallas Zoo. The house has 3 large bedrooms - master with a Cal King and it’s own bathroom, a bedroom with a full over full bunk bed that also has a full trundle underneath and bathroom right outside the door, and the third bedroom has a Cal King with a bathroom. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all very open and connected to each other. And there is a great extra living room/playroom area as well. It is our family home so you will have all of the comforts of home in the kitchen and around the house. And we hope you love it as much as we do!

Julie has the kitchen set up with just the right amount of spices, condiments and utensils for us to be able to cook two meals a day. We had a cheerful, five star stay, thanks for everything Julie! Genesis July 2019 Julie’s home was great! 2 other interns and I stayed here for the summer and Julie was always there if we needed anything. The location was 20 minutes with traffic to downtown. The house is old, but Julie was always there and responded right away if we faced any issues. Our first day there, there was a huge storm that made the news and hit Dallas and all of the city was without power. Julie went out of her way to check on us and bring us flashlights, dry ice for our stuff in the fridge, etc while we waited for the power to come back on. Would definitely recommend the house to anyone who needs an affordable and cozy place that’s close to the city center.

This recently updated Dallas home offers spacious living areas, beautiful hardwood floors, and a simplistic contemporary style. It is a location that is close to everything -- White Rock Lake, multiple public parks, running trails, the Arboretum, North Park Mall, SMU, Greenville Avenue, Uptown/Downtown, and a variety of delicious restaurants. The master bedroom has a king size bed and access to a private full bathroom. The two guest rooms provide a queen size bed in one, and two twin size beds in the other with access to the other full bathroom in the house. The gym has a bench with dumbbells up to 35 pounds and an elliptical machine. The kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and any other needed utensils. The spacious living room has a huge sectional couch for when you are wanting to lie down and relax or to entertain multiple people at a time. There is a circle drive in the front that can fit 3-4 cars, and a 2 car garage in the back that can be accessed via an alleyway. The backyard has a partly covered patio with a ceiling fan and a 6 chair fire pit in the back.

We have recently renovated our little home and have a fully stocked kitchen. Very kid friendly neighborhood. Great for peaceful walks, rides to the lake and a quick breakfast taco at the Green Spot. White Rock lake is a small lake 12 miles around with great biking/walking trails, picnic tables, kayaking, canoeing and sailing clubs. The White Rock Creek trails around the lake connect to different bike trails that will take you all over Dallas - see them all listed at BikeDFW. Our home is 1200 square feet, cozy but comfortable. The front of house is open plan with kitchen, dining and family room. All bedrooms are located down a short hallway. There is a door separating the front of the house to the back bedrooms which I’ve found is really helpful to eliminate noise to the back when kids have been put to bed. The master bedroom has a small en-suite bathroom and laundry is in the hallway. The outdoor area is large and open. We do not have a fence so you can easily run from front of the yard to the back (which comes in handy for big kids). The big sliding doors lead to the side of the house and driveway. You could bike to the lake on trails within 10 minutes. Our city is always expanding the hike and bike trails to explore to see our lovely parks, lake and neighborhoods. We are about one mile from a Dart train station, for easy public transportation all around the city. It's a 15 minute walk to catch the Dart train. But if you head the other direction, it's about a 15 minute walk to White Rock Lake and you can spend the day not going anywhere. Just relax. Of course Uber and Lift are all over this area for your convenience. A very quick and inexpensive drive to almost all restaurants and experiences in Dallas.
